Activities
Monday evening meetings range between competition evenings and talks etc.
Talks and Lectures:
Usually given by outside speakers who are experts in some aspect of photography. These have included journalists, professional photographers, printers and specialists in enhancing digital photography with computer software, particularly Photoshop.

Members' work:
Our members' work includes photographs from roll film, slides and images from digital cameras, in colour and black and white. Members range from beginners in photography to members of the Royal Photographic Society with distinctions. Some of our members give talks, lectures and audio visual shows to local Charities and Associations.
Competitions 2008/2009:
We will have five monthly competitions for members each season for prints and slides respectively, with Standard and Advanced sections, followed by the best print and slide of the year competitions .
There is also an annual competition for the most imaginative image
The competitions are judged by qualified photographers invited from outside our Club.
There are annual awards for the winners of all competitions and the opportunity to work one's way up through the sections in the monthly competitions.

We compete in the annual Surrey Photographic Alliance Inter-
Exhibition:
Our annual exhibition is opened by the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the Mayoress presents the awards. The work exhibited shows that our members have a wide range of photographic interests.
The exhibition awards for our members to aim for include trophies for
Nature prints, Nature slides and Applied prints in addition to our
two sections for both prints and slides,
also the best panel in the exhibition, an annual set subject for slides
as well as awards for the best print and the best slide in the exhibition.
Our members act as stewards during the opening times of our exhibition and
have the opportunity to discuss photography with members of the public and
members of other photographic societies who come to see our work.
Club News:
Our President produces a News Sheet three or four times a year, which he circulates by email or hardcopy to members.
Social Events:
In addition to our published programme, several social events are arranged throughout the Club year in addition to the Christmas evening which is held at our H.Q. to which members are invited to bring a guest.
Gallery and Portfolios:
On our Gallery Page we have a display of up to six images by an individual member, changed on a monthly basis, except when information about competition results are featured.
On the Portfolio Page are collections of images that are retained for a longer period
